Call
to Artists - 2008 Art Auction
The New Harvest
Foundation is pleased to announce its upcoming 2008 Art Auction. The biennial event will take place on September 19th at the Madison Marriott West in Middleton, Wisconsin. This year's venue will provide twice the space as previous auctions and will allow for more attendees, more food and wine, and most importantly, more donated artwork. The larger venue will allow more art aficionados to choose from a wider spectrum of artwork, thus enabling more support for the diverse gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender groups who benefit from your efforts.
The New Harvest Foundation is requesting the donation of one or more pieces of artwork from yourself or a friend of yours who is an artist and ally of the Southern Wisconsin GLBT community Your personal donation will help continue the tradition of giving that New Harvest has maintained for almost twenty-five years. The Foundation has supported LGBT communities since 1984 through grants which empower and enrich both these communities and the greater communities of which they are part.
Artwork in all media is encouraged. Whether you have a way with oil, hand blown glass or a telephoto lens, your singular vision will be of interest to art lovers at this special event. Past auctions have proven to be popular because each piece of artwork has been unique and a statement of you, the artist. Attendees are particularly pleased to take home a great piece of artwork which supports a worthy cause.
The event will encompass both silent auction tables and a live auction later in the evening. This event is a great way to give back to your local community as well as meet some wonderful people who share the same goal of helping others.
Please contact me at richardbrian@yahoo.com about
your donation and any questions you might have about this event. New Harvest
is excited about a new, larger venue for this special evening and the inclusion
of your donation to make this evening a great success.
Sincerely,
Richard Melnick
